Chase Shiel (Aus)

Ever since his game-changing reworks of Sean Wotherspoon's Air Max 97/1, the 'SW Corduroy', his Air Jordan 1 and Air Max 1 'Mars Yard' with Fiamma Studios, Melbourne-based Chase Shiel has been on our radar for his brand of tailored kicks.

The Kickz Stand (Aus)

The Kickz Stand, one of Down Under's largest sneaker communities, hyped the crowds with their signature "It's More Than Just Sneakers" tour. They also let us in on Street Superior-exclusive merch and sneaky surprises from the likes of Chase Shiel, Grail Crew Customs, DJ DayDay, and collabs with streetwear labels like Australia's Unlike Clothing and Indonesia's Cosmonauts.

Grail Customs Crew

Fans of Jeffrey Martinez aka El Sneaker Hefe—Don of @grailcrew_customs and Australia's Ace of Customs' crowning champion—got to meet him in the flesh at Street Superior, where he showed off his first limited release series of customs "Legends of Hip Hop", a tribute to Hip Hop's finest and greatest.

Hiroyuki Suzuki

Yoyo aficionados were thrilled to pick the mind (and tricks!) of Japan's Hiroyuki Suzuki—four-time World Yoyo Champion, seven-time Asia Pacific Yoyo Champion and holder of two Guinness World Records.

Big Big Con

The inaugural edition of toy convention Big Big Con got off to a seriously impressive start with its collections of vintage and rare toys and merchandise. Masterminded by the crew at FLABSLAB, it featured new work by homegrown artists Pobber Toys, Whale Rabbit, Daniel Yu, and regional creatives including Creon (Philippines), Wetworks (Philippines), Good Guys Never Win (Indonesia), Kong Andri (Indonesia) and Robin Tang (Taiwan). A special dedication to Star Wars collectables might have even converted a few of us into dedicated collectors.
